The Ambassador of Japan to Sri Lanka, Akio Isomata along with his group, has paid a courtesy contact Justice W.M.N.P.
Iddawala, Chairman of the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC), today (04 ), at the CIABOC office in Colombo.The conference, which started at 11:00 a.m.
centered on going over the ongoing and future cooperation in between the Japanese government and Sri Lankas anti-corruption efforts, the Media Unit of Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) said.Also present at the conference was Commissioner of CIABOC, K.B.
Rajapakshe, who participated in conversations regarding ongoing support for Sri Lankas battle versus corruption and the role of financiers in the nations economic growth.During the meeting, Ambassador Isomata expressed Japans unwavering support for Sri Lankas governance and anti-corruption initiatives, particularly in drawing in worldwide financial investment.
Ambassador Isomata stressed the value of creating a transparent and corruption-free environment to encourage foreign investment in Sri Lanka, which is essential for the countrys development, the statement added.The Chairman of CIABOC, Justice Iddawala empathized with the difficulties that investors deal with, particularly worrying corruption-related concerns in financial investment jobs.
He reassured Ambassador Isomata that any problems associated with corruption in financial investment projects would be thoroughly examined and dealt with by CIABOC.The discussions likewise covered future cooperation between the two nations, particularly in reinforcing institutional structures and promoting best practices in governance and transparency.
One of the essential subjects was the preparation and implementation of the National Anti Corruption Action Plan 2025-2029, an initiative aimed at further enhancing Sri Lankas anti corruption efforts.The conference reflected a shared dedication to ensuring that Sri Lanka stays an attractive location for investment while upholding the greatest standards of stability and anti-corruption measures.
